The web-server iTIS-PseTNC was developed to identify Translation initiation site (TIS) by using the physicochemical properties of the pseudo trinucleotide composition. It was observed by the rigorous cross-validation test on the benchmark dataset that the overall success rate achieved by the new predictor in identifying TIS was over 97%. All benchmark data can be downloaded from the Data window of this web-server.

Caveat

(1) For each submission, the input sequences must be longer than 399 characters and in FASTA format; i.e., each DNA sequence should start with a greater-than symbol (" > ") in the first column. The words right after the " > " symbol in the single initial line are optional and only used for the purpose of identification and description.

(2) If a query sequence contains any illegal characters, wrong results will be obtained.
